We have been thinking about how lucky we are to have so many new clients referred to us by our happy customers. It shouldn’t surprise me though, most of our service providers have been referred to us by friends or customers. I think it is important to thank those that have referred us and we are going to do just that.

Each referral provided by one of our existing customers earns 2 x $5.00 Timmy cards, plus a chance to win a grand prize. For more information on the grand prize, please talk to either Jeremy or Rob in the new year!

Its Bug Season………

Last night a good friend of mine and I took our motorcycles out for a 250 km drive. Beautiful night, incredible sunset and a lot of bugs. Got up this morning to a motorcycle competely covered in bug guts………never a pleasant or easy thing to clean. This morning I tried a new product call Bugs Away from a Canadian Company Krown. Yup, the folks that make the rust prevention chemical,( amongst other good stuff ). Sprayed it on , waited 10 minutes and with a garden hose and full pressure the bugs are GONE! Dave is looking forward to trying this out on your cars when we see them in our wash bay next! Safe driving………………………

Rust prevention, is it really that expensive?

This morning I was driving to work and passed a 6 or 7 year old import car and I couldn’t believe how rusty the fenders were. This is unfortunate, because there are rust prevention products widely available. One product our shop recommends is Krown Rust Protection.

Does anyone have any good rusty car stories to share?

Prevent condensation in your gas tank!

Make sure your car has at least 1/2 tank of gas in the winter. Winter is the time of year when you want to make sure your fuel level does not go below half full. When temperatures are around the freezing point, condensation can form in your gas tank and freeze. As much as we are magicians, we can’t yet make your car run on water!

Pre-scheduled auto repair service is a good idea because smaller problems with your car are diagnosed on a regular basis and dealt with quickly. Although it goes without saying, smaller problems are always much less costly than larger problems when it comes to car repair.

In 1960, Frank Scheffer started his own business – Frank Motors.

Now, in 2010, his son Dieter is running the shop, and it is time to celebrate 50 years serving Winnipeg’s automotive community.

Winter tire season is almost done!

Not sure why, but we sold more winter tires this year then in recent memory. We had a couple of customers come in lately for winter tires after getting into fender benders. This is something we promote for most cars as the winter tires are made of a softer rubber that sticks to the road surface much better in cooler temperatures.
